The choices someone makes in high school can affect their life after graduation, whether it be the college they go to or the jobs they get. However, high school isn’t just about academics and scholarships, it is also about making friends, having fun, and creating memories. The memories made in high school can last a lifetime.

Kari Rutherford graduated from Mountain View High School in 1994. She said that her senior year was definitely the most memorable year of high school.

“It was the end. We were the oldest. I was applying for college.”  These were some of the reasons her senior year was the most memorable year for her.

“I was done with most of my core classes, so I got to take a lot of fun classes. I was the President of the honor society. I got accepted to BYU (the one school I really wanted to get accepted to). All of the school activities were a lot of fun, especially the dances.” Judy Zollinger said as she explained some of the reasons why her senior year was the most memorable year of high school for her.

She graduated from McNary High School in 1968. McNary High School was built in 1965. Zollinger’s graduating class was the first class to go to all four years at their new high school and this also made senior year her most memorable.

Dylan Johnson, a current senior at Orem High, said, “ From high school I think the most memorable thing will be the people and the friends that I made through the things that I did.”
