As most students at Orem high school already know the bathrooms on each floor switch positions. And if they don’t they will soon enough. For example, on the first floor boys go to the left girls to the right on the second floor it flips around.
John, a senior at Orem, High has walked into the wrong bathroom before. Let me tell you why. It’s pointless to have the bathrooms as they are now but I’m no plumber. I would think it would be a lot easier and convenient for the students if they were the same.
And also if you have gone to the bathroom over by the band and choir rooms while an assembly is going on you can hear everything. Some probably hate this others like Harrison Pope, say, “I don’t mind, I kind of like it.” It’s weird to think the administration agreed to these layout flaws in my opinion, when they were building the new school that we go to today.
Girls I’ve talked to say that it’s a lot worse to walk into the boy’s bathroom then it is for a boy to walk into the girl’s bathroom. Let me elaborate a little. The girls are going into stalls but the guys have the urinal to stand at so if a girl walks in you know what that leads to, at least two people scarred for life having to remember that tragic incident every time they see that person in the hall.
Knowing that no one wants this to happen to him/her, the administration should look at this issue, which they probably don’t care or know about. I would like to see a change but I don’t know if that’s even possible. In order to do so, they would have to change most of the plumbing systems which would get in the way of school time and cost money.
