The auditorium in which assemblies take place at Orem High School

Often, teachers feel like their important class time is being cut for assemblies, and all too often. Regardless of opinion, assemblies are going to change.

Ms. Call, chemistry and French teacher, says “assemblies can be really motivating and unifying when well planned.”

Others, like math teacher Joe Wytiaz, say “minimalistic assemblies are what teachers and students want.” He continued by saying that Mr. Coxson, student council advisor, is aware of this want and is working on streamlining the assembly process.

The changes, whether they mean shorter, fewer, or more engaging assemblies, will soon come into effect.
