Why Trump Won the 2024 Election

Trump winning the election with 295 electoral votes came as a big surprise to most people. Why and how did this happen, you ask? Nobody knows for sure, but there are theories. Firstly, the economy was shown to be much better when Trump was president as opposed to the Biden administration. Also, Trump managed to get the vote of black males, increasing their votes from 12% last election to 20% this one. He also got many more votes from young men in general. This brings up the question of whether gender, and also race, was part of the equation.

It isn’t something we want to admit as a nation, but racism and sexism is definitely a prominent issue in America. Putting that in perspective, a few votes went to Trump because of those reasons. Also, could’ve ran her campaign in a much better way. Trump presented himself with much more confidence, which made people have more trust in him. He has the trust of so many people because he is a celebrity who so many people look up to. Whereas Harris wasn’t very widely known until recently. Taking these points into consideration, Donald Trump won the 2024 election due to many reasons, though winning by so much was quite unexpected.
