Donald Trump holds newspaper featuring himself on the front page, Feb. 6, 2020.

Donald Trump gained an extra five million people in the United States election. This is how he won. Trump’s personality is dominant, fulfilling the role of a leader. Along with the vows he made, and the confidence that he ensued, many were enraptured while looking for relief. His firm stances were seen as stubborn but also reliable. It is why he is hated, and also why he is idolized.

At the very least, Trump has a fan club. He has devoted followers that rally every move he makes. Everyone knows him. He’s made his mark on this world. Because of this extensively large group of supporters, he was already ahead. We’ve known that Trump was going to run for 2024 for a long while. Everyone’s opinions on him have been developing since he made his first appearance.

Joe Biden ended up dropping out of the election later on, and Kamala Harris then picked up what he left for her. Harris was a newer face, and people had less time to develop an opinion on her. Especially with Biden’s low ratings, Harris seemed to be running the race uphill, with many odds against her.

Trump is known for a lot of things, such as his belief in deporting illegal immigrants, and his negative approach on the gender identity movement. Basically Trump wanted to take away “wokeness,” which resonated with a lot of citizens. But he leveled his strong ideals with abortion. He promised to veto a national abortion ban. He declared that every state should decided whether they allow abortion or not. That seemed to allow a state of neutrality between Trump and those against him.
