Why did Trump Win?

The outcome of the 2024 presidential election was shocking to some and inevitable to others. But the election has come to an end; Donald J. Trump came out on top and will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States of America. But why did he win? How did he win?

One big problem was the fact of how old President Biden was. Although Biden and Trump are around the same age, Trump being 79 and Biden being 2 years older, Biden seems way older than Trump. During the debate, Biden’s performance was undoubtedly sloppy and made him seem way too old for the presidency, this gave the Democrats a humiliating look on the national stage. Many Democrats turned against the party and joined Trump’s band wagon out of either change of mind or in protest.

Harris didn’t go through the whole inauguration process to become a running candidate, the reason for this was the amount of time the Democrats had after President Joe Biden dropped out of the election. The cutting corners done by Harris to become a candidate led to a lot of distrust for the Democrats by the people. Many, even within the party, already didn’t think that Kamala was a good candidate, let alone trustworthy one.

Trump heavily appealed to the working class, a class that used to be firmly in blue hands. But the working Democrats, affected by all the issues of the Democratic Party explained here and more, began to second guess the Left, Trump exploited this by focusing heavily on the working class and their issues with the Democrats, and his work payed off, many former democrats in the working class voted for Trump this year. The combination of the things stated here helped carry Trump to the White House.
