An official French club is new to Orem High School this year and it is flourishing!

When asked about French club, Ms. Call (club supervisor) said French club is a great way not only to help kids become more culturally open, but also develop a sense of community with each other.

An Orem High Senior said, “I love going to the French club activities, they are always so much fun! Plus I get to learn new stuff about France and hang out with my friends all at the same time!”

French club was started by OHS junior, Danny Borba, and Ms. Call and it is impressive the numbers and enthusiasm for the club coming from Orem High students. This year is the first year it has officially been brought to Orem High, and it seems to be off to a great start!

Orem High French club participant said, “There comes a point in your life when you need to make some decisions, and the decision to join French club was definitely a good one! I can always count on the activities to be fun and full of excitement.”

Danny Borba (French club president) said, “French club is special at Orem High because it is the only language type club. Although we don’t focus on French speaking in the club, we focus on French speaking culture, and communities all around the world. It is really a culture based club.”

French club meets once a month, if you’re interested in learning more about French speaking cultures, communities, playing games, eating food, and hang out with your friends, then talk to Ms. Call about joining today.
